So whos the player who will be better tham Smith ?

So both ways we can't win. We don't have a chairman who can find the balance.

Well if it is Chris Bailey he only just signed a 3 year deal with manly at the start of this year, so if they are letting him go why? Not good enough, poor form, offield problems, either way anybody rate him?

IMO Manly only signed him because he was available and cheap as they had no cash to spend on a decent 6. He is a very average 6 is Bailey but he could make a good second row/loose but I would rather play Sam Tomkins. Chris Bailey is hard working like Barrett but lacks the speed and vision of Barrett, I wouldn't be gutted if we did sign him i would give him a chance but he is no better than Phelps, Bailey and Riddell who we class as average Aussies and we can do without them. Sorry Chris if your reading.
Chris Bailey at 6 is like Phil Bailey at 12. Hard working, solid and good defence but lacks the real atacking edge.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

It will go against what he said the other day but would come as little suprise.
If he's a steady eddy type then fair enough because i believe thats what our side needs at times in the halfs. It may allow Sam and Leuluai to just play their natural game and attack which would help the side overall.
If we do get Chris Bailey that must leave money for a top prop forward and if Lenagan doesn't manage to get one for next season theres going to be some very unhappy fans.
