Yes I can see your point to some extent mate. But on the whole it was a pleasant day, and I for one thought our fans helped to create a frigging awesome atmosphere, not only in the ground but also outside and around the town. Saw a couple of minor 'incidents' outside the Manchester public house on the front, but nothing to warrant any further action, the doormen had it firmly under control. On the journey back between Preston and Wire BQ, there were a few lads/men a bit worse for wear and in high spirits but IIRC nothing major, just a bit of harmless singing and chanting. Loved 'lets all have a disco' on the train. Although i suppose that'd be slightly annoying if your a standard passenger who is trying to enjoy a peaceful journey back to Birmingham New st before work the next morning. :?

One lad who was speaking to us, ran through the 'peace fountain' on Bridge st which at the time we thought was bloody hilarious, although I bet he wished he hadn't done by the time he got home.

In response to the OP, yer the singing started early and boy don't I know it, I am still suffering now. 8)

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

As a neutral on the day got to say how impressed I was with the Widnes support on Sunday and thank a bunch of your supporters for a great afternoon pre match.

Was outside the Manchester around 2ish for an hour with your lot and was impressed with, as Keighley fans wearing our team colours ,the warm reception we recivied from your supporters and the great entertainment they provided - the chants of 'Tourists, tourists ' at those on a Seafont open top bus being one of the highlights- will live long in the memory.Even the 'p*** taking ' of my godson who had chosen to wear a Rhinos shirt for the afternoon , was done in a way as to amuse rather than offend.

Was also in the Philamonic WMC with another large group ffrom the Vikings
who were happy to discuss the game and rugby in general .

Ok there may have been a few knob heads from both sides but the true supporters of the Vikings should be nothing but proud of themselves for Sunday

best of luck for the rest of the season and hopefully see you all again on Grand Final Day

Think the vast majority of fans of all clubs are fine but every club does have the odd idiot.

We shouldnt tar everyone with the same brush just becuase of a minority.
