I've been saying this all along the guy is rubish as a coach he has no idea what to do with this team, when we win he doesnt know how we did it and when we lose he doesnt know, so whos coaching the team, it must be the ball boy

his after match interview on gmr was laughable saying he was proud of the effort we put in and if you walked away from that ground not happy with our effort then you know nothing about rugby league well sorry then i must know feck all because we were dire tonight less than half that team tried tonight

I personally think there was effort there... the problem was... they had nothing to work with. The team selection and tactics were poor... It's clear to everyone else what's wrong, but this guy is being paid to get it wrong and can't see the wood for the trees. The team selected did put in the effort... but didn't have the know how to undo Castleford.

He's basically papering over the cracks with this comment... cracks that are pretty much all his own doing.

THE FELLA IS SUB STANDARD, LIKE THE MAJORITY OF THE SQUAD.

The sooner a lot of fans realise that.....well, all the better for them.

Hopeless signings (once again) , hopeless tactics, and truly hopeless management. :?:

If you can't see what's goin on, then I'm afriad your in for at least 40 years of sh!te............ like I've witnessed

You'd think after 400 games in charge at top level he would have some idea.

I like toast as much as anyone , but not for breakfast , dinner and tea.

I'd tend to agree with that. It was like last week at Celtic when the players showed real enthusiasm to form scums very quickly for most of the second half, but then once they had the ball they didn't know what to do with it.

McRae, the Super League’s longest‐serving head coach who took charge of his 400th club game tonight, said: “I thought we played okay but we turned over too much ball. I thought we defended particularly well.

Yes he was.
We did turn over too much ball. Defensively we were ok against a Cas side that had scored 80 points in their last 2 games How many times were we defending on our own line?
Their tries came from 2 kicks and a dive over from a play-the ball, after we knocked on just after scoring our 1st try making it 6-12.
The game then was anyone's,but instead of driving down the field and putting them under pressure we make a mistake and the moment is gone.

McRae hasn't coached 400 games.............he's coached 1 game 400 times.

BIG DIFFERENCE!
