Quite right. It's a tactic obviously deployed by Saints (top of the league) and Bradford (near the bottom)

Your point is??????

The point is theres no improvement. I think you'll find I was a massive Mick Higham critic so I'm not impressed that we are still at that level with an import.

Not good enough for me that!

But that's only half the story.
Can can you now post the number of metres made alongside those number of scoots.

It's o.k making a lot of scoots, but how much ground are they making?

161 for the Whole Year, was he not "Fit Enough"????? Not Quick Enough?????

Pointless thread, You could pick holes in every player if you want to like that!

I don't cream over Higham like some people do but with Riddell being an overseas import I expected a vast improvement.

Do these stats indicate such an improvement? Hell no.

Were not still at that level though, unlike Higham there is more to Riddells game than dummy running and thats where he has strengthened us, he organises the team much better and bar friday night his distribution has been fantastic, his kicking game is better and McIlorum seems to be learning well off him. He may not make as many dummy runs but when he does he finds the gaps more often than not and makes loads of yards. He's starting to come into his own now and i think he's playing really well and i think its unfair to criticise him for the sake of it, statistics dont tell the full story.

Roby 2012metres
Randall 1418
Cunningham 1299
Terry Newton 1266
Riddell 1028

Richards is our top metre maker with 2528.

Anyway I still expect more from an import player.

So Riddells metres per carry is quite impressive then, particularly as he is more of a passer of the ball.

I havent been overly impressed with Riddell yet but he isnt a "scooter" so to merely look at metres seems a pointless exercise. Surely for a more creative hooker, we need to look at try assists and things like that as well.
