Frank and Tony Puletua are brothers and so you would think that they would command a similar wage. Both at a similar age and play the same positions. So how come Saints can do it and we can't?
Your not going to get quality players for the wages of Andy Coley.
Fielden was supposed to improve the team and hence was paid a big wage do we want to make the same mistakes...

Coley can cover back row and we need some size to our pack. After that i'd want to be bring in a world class prop and a halfback in that order.
I agree, and dont let anyone be fooled by Bailey's recent form, he's been $hite for the whole of his contract, not worth the wonga, and lo and behold when renewal time comes around, starts to play well, called 'Orr syndrome' I think. Is anyone saying I told you so, we should not have let him go about Orr, cos there were loads of you at the time saying it was the end of the world, letting him go?????

Fielden did his job. He lifted the teams morale and led us to survival. Since then he has never recaptured that form. Only in patches.
But does this mean we should never pay top money for the best players? Of course not. What about Trent Barrett?
I still don't think we have to sign the best players just players that will improve the squad. The players I have mentioned will do this.
How can you not see that?
Can I have this in writing because I think it is what your trying to say. Andy Coley and Phil Bailey would do a better job for Wigan than Carl Webb and Frank Puletua. Is that what you are saying?

Totally agree! never a truer word said mate. If there is a clear example of somone playing for a contract its Bailey. Re sign Coley , get rid of Bailey.

I actually think it was Dobson that pulled us out of the muck that year, not fielden. He may have lifted morale, who wouldnt on his whopping salary I am not saying they are better, dont be silly Cadoo. I am just saying that there are worse performers currently than these two who i would much rather see going, thats all. I know it wont happen. Is IL going to want to spend such a huge amount on the pack when the people he is currently paying the most (fielden and feka) are not performing? This is the problem.
Come on now Cadoo lets quit bickering.....
