If this is true it is really poor on the rfl's part. I got drug tested more than that taking part in an amateur sport in regular competition. To think that a professional/international player can get away with taking drugs fr a year is apalling. Sounds like cost cutting to me. The drug testing procedure is expensive but it is something that has to be done to ensure the game is clean. Regular post match and out of competition testing has to be undertaken and players with nothing to hide would have no problem with this.
