I guess the one good thing is it seems he is getting thorough treatment and the doctors are on top of all possibilities.

Lets hope that they have diagnosed it early enough and he can make a full recovery.

There is already talk of Swansea City trying to raise money for the Cancer Unit at Morriston Hospital so hopefully some good can come out of it and hopefully John will be back fit and well asap.

You have to wonder how it's got that far without any alarm bells ringing? Hasn't he has cancer previously or am I thinking of someone else?

Terrible news.

His Wales team-mate Andy Legg was diagnosed 4 years ago.

Heard him interviewed on the radio yesterday saying that he had offered JH his support.

Indeed he is now player manager at Llanelli and played the two matches against Motherwell in Europe.

Hopefully his recovery is an inspiration to John (and also another ex Swansea player Chris Todd who recovered from chronic myeloid leukaemia and got back in the league with Torquay).
