Salford boss Shaun McRae reflected that the trouble at the Crusaders probably helped them.
"We spoke about it during the week that, with inquiries and all sorts of allegations, one way to respond is to get the result right, to go out and play.
"And I thought they did that well today and handled the conditions better than us other than the opening exchanges when we led 12-0.
"To a certain extent, our guys thought we could just ease off a fraction and it was that which caused the turnaround."
Im sorry but this doesn't wash with me, How can the guys just "ease" off when being 12-0 ahead, If thats the case then i hope they get flogged this week at training, Im so annoyed and frustrated why oh why does he (Mcrae)change a winning team, I personally wouldn't of put Myler back in the squad , I know we lost Goulding but that is no excuse . We have our work cut out on friday now against a tough Castleford side so the lads need to buck their ideas up and fast , We had the oppurtunity(spelling?) to go above Bradford last night. now if that wasn't a huge incentive for the guys to make a push up the table then i fear a loss to cas on friday will be season over for us and may well result in the crusaders catching up with us within the next 3 weeks. I really hope im proved wrong! As always i will be in the shed on friday cheering my team on but my god do they push our loyalty.

I agree with you Dexter how can prof sports people ease off? Esp after what 10-15mins, in a really important game.
What i find more annoying is the coach saying this, if this is the case why did they ease off? It just makes the whole set up look unproffesional, we beat saints last week and then get beat off Celtic. Do our players just pick and choose the games they actualy try in?
I call them when they deserve it,
I praise them when they deserve it.
I support the club not individuals.

McRae just is clueless when it comes to back play and he proves it week in and week out, he is the most surprised man in the stadium when we win. On Saturday Celtic were playing their cup final, we were going through the motions or some of them. Myler was not fully fit and a number of our fans were on his back from the start. We had a problem with our kicking game, Celtic's first try was exactly the same as the one ruled out for us against Hull, same ref diff result, we made too many errors and for some reason gave away a lot of penalties, we got none of the 50/50's we did last week.
Thats Salford's problem inconsistancy, I would suggest for Friday Myler or Smith on the bench but Ratchford at standoff from the start with Turner in the Centre.
