Don't get me wrong, O'Meley is probably the first FC signing in the last 3 years (other than Berigan) that I wouldn't have been disappointed signing for Rovers but he's not some super-star. Besides, Catalans have some of the best props in the comp in Carlaw, Ryles etc. and they're struggling to get in the 8.
FC will have a better side than they have this season, but it still won't be good enough to get in the 8 - it's only recently that most fans are coming to terms with the fact that the competition has moved on since they were in the GF.

It's a bit daft to make statements like that when most teams haven't even started their recruitment, let alone finished it. You have no idea how the squads are going to match up for 2010 yet.

As someone who has watched O'meley plummet over the last two years I shed no tears we didn't sign him. Off the field he has issues, on it he has just been poop! I'd have taken Tronc over him any day of the week.
