At the Rovers v Bradford play-off game many moons, ago when Bradford walked off the pitch at just before or just after halftime. Led by then captain Geoff Grayshon. I think they had just had a fourth man sent off, it was late 1970,s or maybe early eighties...and who was the referee, cant remember that either...the mists of time are indeed cloudy.
Can't remember who the ref was...I do remember Mike Smith asking the ref if he could tap the ball & score a try after the Bradford players had walked off though!

I was there that day, stood in the old east stand,(kop) incredible descision by Grayshon to take his players off at half time, i seem to remember the Badford team getting some stick from the rovers fans every time we played them after that occasion.
Happy days.
Don't know for certain but bradford was banned from cup comps next season and appealed successfully and ironically beat rovers in the yorkshire cup that very season, could someone perhaps verify this ,cheers
