Just look at chelsea last season, a lot of their games werent sold out.

What an absolute load of pap.

Some of Wigan's best gates have been during the lean period when we were close to relegation.

Are you now claiming that Wigan has more than its fair share of masochists?

Your understanding of this situation should dictate that you now shut up, but you probably won't.

The facts/statistics do not lie my friend. You used to sell out central park regularly when you were doing well. Where are they all now ? They only come out on good friday for the stains game.

Ok so you got 14k against quins which is good but how many of these were free tickets ? Your average gate excluding Stains is 12878 for the league games yet it is 22,232 for stains.

Actually, we didn't.

You are correct about the statistics not lying, it's just a pity you have no idea what the statistics actually are.

Give me your spade mate

Why are you banging on about free tickets?

Do you know something we don't, or have you got the wrong end of the stick, again?

Go on, tell us all what you know.

Central Park's capacity was 30,000. Our highest seasonal average during the 80/90's was just short of 15,000.

In 2006 (the relegation near miss season) our average was over 16,000.

What was it you said about facts & statistics?

It's yet more deluded fantasy from those idiots who simply can't bare to believe that Wigan, for all their recent problems, can still post some very, very good gates.

Latics fans have been living on this dreams for years. Now Wire fans appear to be doing the same.

Wire fans also constantly say we have been on the way down since like 2000 yet they dream of the success we have had since then, they would be creaming themselves if the finished 3rd 2 years on the trot with 2 challenge cup semi finals in a few years.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Anyway wouldn't it be great final?

The birthplace of Rugby League v the most famous and most successful rugby league club in the world

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row
