Batesy wrote:Exactly! You wouldn't know, so therefore to state that the reason Warrington would have fans that would go to the final and not the semi is that they can't buy tickets is ridiculous.

Just like wigan fans (me being one of them) there will be warrington fans who can't go for geniune reasons.

Its not ridiculous the fact is the wire fans have snapped up tickets very quickly the only way to find out if more would go would be if a large amount of tickets went on sale.

Honestly mate, who cares whether you've bought a lot of tickets for a semi-final or not? I'd expect you to. You don't get to them very often. We've been in three in the last two years.

Good on yer. Go and buy some more tickets. It won't make any difference to Wire's standing in the game. In fact, being obsessed with selling more tickets than Wigan reinforces the perception that you've all got a big inferiority complex about us.

We no longer matter to you, yet you're all over this message board like flies.

Go and buy your tickets and enjoy the match, and knock this silly obsession you've all got with Wigan on the head.

If that's the case then it's a good job the fickle ones don't turn up, as we couldn't fit them in the stadium..

Now then, please explain your declining gates this year.

Muppet.

Our gates are down around 10% on average. The home support does not vary hugely from game to game it is the away fans. Yours however varies dramatically. You have to admit that you have a lot of glory hunters who got on the band wagon a few years ago and now that things arent going so well are nowhere to be seen. Just look at chelsea last season, a lot of their games werent sold out.

I wouldn't suppose the credit crunch has anything to do with people not getting a ticket..
It is fair to say that there is more money knocking about in warrington and are maybe less affected by the current climate. I know people who buy a season ticket each year but find it difficult to justify spending upwards of a £100 quid for their family when they can watch it on Tele..... anyway its only bloody warrington...its not like they have won out... ohhh yes you beat us at the HJ... big deal... its your home ground.. its only because its your biggest game of the season and your just any other side to us.... reality check for the w*nky wire please!!

I have got my ticket by the way...

What about the Wire fans who will go to the final but not the semi? It's a completly irrelevant point because any club who gets to a final will take fans who didnt go to the semi.

You certainly didnt have 2000 last time you played at the HJ in the league. Nowhere near, I remember it was only the centre that was full.

Saints is our biggest game actually. They are the league leaders and in recent years minor premiers more often than not. We also have a supportive club that tries to bring in the fans for games with such things as £1 coach travel to away cup games etc etc. To answer another poster yes we are a bigger club - a more resourceful and committed backer and most importantly a nice stadium that we own and will never get kicked out of for a football match.

It's pathetic. Nothing on this site but crap like this. One of the main reasons I rarely post. Won't our mods do something about this constant, petty anti Wigan crap?
