Would agree with that, I think signings will be limited and in the end if we want to give youth a chance then we should leave space in the team for them to play, it's no good having an Aussie in there way. That's why I'd allow Bailey to go after all if there's one area in the team where it should solely home grown British it should be the backrow.
Wigan vs Leeds finals aggregate score.
Wigan 178 - 64 Leeds
Wigan wins - 6 Leeds wins - 0

But that will mean replacing Phil Bailey and Gareth Hock purely with homegrown talent.
Would you be happy going into next season with just Joel Tomkins, Lee Mossop and Harrison Hansen?
I'm not sure.
Rugby Union: When entertainment just isn't your thing.
Just to confuse matters we could sign up all three because of the new rules the RFL have made Phil Bailey will count as a federation player because he was signed before the rules were in place in 2007.
This explains it:
The RFL has now announced that clubs will be able to renew or extend the contracts of non-federation players who were signed before the rule was changed in June 2007.
Those players can be retained on top of the non-federation players that clubs are allowed, though the new dispensation will expire if players switch clubs or at the end of any contract extension.
So in theory we could sign up all three players but we would be able to buy another overseas player.
So we have to release either Cameron Phelps or George Carmont if we want to bring in another overseas player. To bring in two we would have to release both.
I had never bothered educating myself on the cap tbh and it just really confuses me.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

I can certainly see the sense in waiting for the right players, what I've yet to see are players that people would like to sign this year who are out of contract this year and available.
Correct.
We're very good, on this message board, at talking ourselves into a suicidal state.

I would go with those three in the backrow with Flanagan and Farrel as backup, It's really a big juggling contest as to who comes and goes and we could by possibly strengthening one area inadvertently weaken another through the quota system. In the end it's swings and roundabouts and if it came down to strengthening either the frontrow or backrow I'd choose the frontrow.
