Great play from the tail this morning, not only scoring runs but not hanging around whilst doing it. Swann's even managed a switch hit by all accounts!

435 all out, brilliant total in the end. Shame Swann didn't quite make his 50, but I'm sure he won't mind a 47 not out too much!

Fantastic effort, only Monty never made double figures.

Hauritz ended with three wickets, if Swann and Monty bowl well they could clean up on this pitch. The ball was starting to keep low from the seamers aswell.

Short and wide will just get thumped by Hughes, stem the runs and let him get frustrated. Also if we keep bowling short then we are not allowing the ball to swing.

Great work from the tail, but WTF are the bowlers playing at, some awful stuff there.

Haven't seen it, but could it be a case of being too pumped up after their batting exploits? As you say, hopefully a rest and a few words from the management team over lunch will help things out.

Some great batting from the tail to give England a score which at one point seemed a distant dream. Hopefully, we can get a few early wickets after lunch to put them under some decent pressure.

Think Matty Hoggard should be in the team myself, proven against the Aussies.
