Unfortunately for Vince, I think he's had his chance to impress when Mogg started playing 6. Raguin filled in there, and although I think that cost us in the big games against pacy centres with good footwork, he did a good job. IMO the answer is not JPB or Raguin, but Duport would not let anyone down in the centres. I wouldn't mind us going into games with him and Bell as our centres. I just wish there was a, or 2, young replacement(s) to come through the ranks and replace the both of them!

Interesting, I thought I was the only one not getting a little bit carried away with JPB, dont get me wrong he's doing a good job but I feel some of the superlatives thrown his way are a bit OTT.

Still plenty to work on there, obviously, but in the fullness of time, he'll be up there

His (as is Raguin's) footwork is awful in defence for a centre. They both plant their feet and go for the hit, they get found out by top centres, just look what Saints did to us, they hit us out wide in the centres where we are weak defensively.

I know I just feel some people get a little carried away when we find a French player capable of filling one of those problem positions for French players.

JPB is another who likes a shot out of the line too, so who for you Cala is our centre but not quite a centre JPB, the Traffic warden or Vince?

I think Vince would benefit from having the experience of a decent winger outside him, maybe Pelo or the forgotten man, Murphy.
The fact is that if we are to press on we need a top quality centre and none of the above fit the bill, IMO, someone like Ashley Gibson would be cheap and fit the bill perfectly, he could also cover on the wing if we needed or if the worst happened even cover at Full Back if Greeny got injured.

Hmm, not sure about Gibson, but I Imagine you know a bit more on the Leeds lads. The club has never signed any English players in the past either but theres always a first time. I honestly dont know who I think the club should be looking at as I thought at the time Steve Bell would do a good job for us.
Obviously I would like the club to develop some genuine French 3/4, that is gonna take time and like you say those players might never make the required standard.
Is Murphy just out of favour or a victim of the 8 player rule, havent heard much about his frenchness recently?
