RFL are to give a substantial handout to CC to keep them going, i personally think its a joke , same as they did to Hull FC, when they sold their soul and identity and merged , accepted free handouts and played in a shiny new stadium and fobbed off Gateshead.

Yes, Rovers got to SL on merit (GF win) - with the help of a rich backer along the way. Just because your 'help' came from a supporter of the club, rather than another source, is not a reason to get all high and mighty. Everyclub at some point has had to rely on some kind of outside help.
