You may well be right , but they've done very well up to now this season signing some decent players .
Maybe they were more looking the next round of franchises in approx 5 years time.

The Widnes bit I would support but kicking out sides I would not want teams out side our northern heartlands to go as they bring a lot more to our game. Any way why do any teams need to go, with the play off & franchise system you can add as many sides as you wish just as the Americans do wit the NFL, ice Hockey baseball & basket ball. I would also sooner trvel to the south of France than Widnes.
