Ratchford plays very much like Sam, a running half back, we need a creative passing organising 7.
I was all for a younger 7 (Myler for example) but considering the lack of options I think we're going to have to recruit an older quality 7 such as Orford. Not ideal as it's only a 2 year stop gap, but maybe something else will develop over the next two years allowing us then to sign a 7 closer to Sam's age building a long term partnership.
Am I right in thinking Orford, Jones and Lockyer haven't got a new deal at their clubs yet?

Ratchford's contract is longer than Myler's - there'd be a fee involved as well.
I honestly can't see him going with Myler on his way. Will seriously take the pi$$ if we lose 3/4 of our best young players in our first year back in Super League.

Tronc would seem a good signing but it seems like a done deal for Wakefield. Seems we have missed another, I really hope our recruitment is done behind the scenes.
What are the Riddell wife stories, just that she is homesick or have they developed?

Surely players aren't picking Wakey over Wigan? (no offense wakey fans!)
We mustn't have gone for him or they must be throwing cash at him.
I also hope our recruitment is being done all under wraps behind the scenes, I pray IL has something planned.

You would like to think not, if he is going to Wakefield Id agree that we havent put a bid in for him, which worries me when on paper he seems exactly the kind of forward we need.

given recent form and with players like o'meley and (seemingly) tronc signing for other clubs when we are in desperate need for a forward (or 4) and our poor off-season signings last year, im not at all confident in our recuitment for next year

We are in serious trouble with out recruitment if we have not signed anyone yet.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
