Also think signing rooney is a waste of cap space as if wakey are getting rid why would we want him? Would rather see whiting at centre and horne at 6 or instead of spending money on rooney use that to find a new centre and have whiting as cover or pushing for a bench spot

I can agree with that. To be honest I wouldn't be bothered who started out the two as long as O'Meley played 40 minutes each week.

I see what your saying but is he willing to come to play second fiddle to whoever? The thing is, he aint good enough for the Wakefield starting line up but if he is prepared to take probably less money and no guarantee of first team football then it he would be well worth taking.
