Got to admit he wasn't as good as usual, whether that is because the rest of the team upped their game and that made him look bad, or he just isn't bothred anymore. Either way leigh can have him

Top bloke is phil and always has time for people. He is not getting any younger so a move to nl1 would prolong his career and i am sure most of us on the forum would wish him all the best whatever he decides to do.

It's probably the best thing for all parties. Phil isnt getting any younger and he will continue to struggle with the demands of Super League. The National League would suit him far more and whoever manages to snap him up will have a great player and an equally top bloke on their hands.

I know he does a lot of work in local schools and kids who have had no previous interest in Salford have been down to games just because of the little time they spent with Phil during a PE lesson.

Both his sons go to my lads school and if you ever see him around he always has time to talk to you and as quoted he is great coaching the kids.
He would be ideal as a RFL development officer when he packs in playing.

Top bloke Phil it would be sad to see him go. Having spoke to him after the Hudds game I got the impression he will be moving on at the end of the season.

what about a youth development officer, going around schools and doing coaching and getting the young uns into the willows. Also do we have any form of coaching school where kids can come and do a course on rugby skills. Maybe like a weekend course or a 5 day course whilst school is out. They could meet and greet the team learn playing skills you could even incorporate some form of healthy eating stuff in there, give them a goody bag and a free ticket an bobs your uncle, more money for the club and big Phil gets a job, could boost numbers too.

Phil has looked a shadow of himself this season - considering his size he doesn't have anywhere near enough the impact that he should have. He's a great professional and I wish him all the best wherever he ends up next season
