not at all cruncher, but there are quite a few on here with the mentality that every signing has to be a superstar of the highest calibre etc etc, many need to realise that we are not the team we used to be, we are now a mediocre mid table side, posters keep slagging of Wire, yet they are heading in the direction we should be heading, we are becoming the laughing stock of the RL world and the arrogant attitudes of a lot of our fans doesn't help matters with fans from other sites.

I think you're taking it too much to heart. As I said to someone else earlier on today, the views of fans who post on message boards are not hugely important. They represent a minor percentrage of fans in general, and quite often are given with little or no facts to hand.
But this business about us being "the laughing stock of RL" ...
To be honest, that's the sort of meaningless bollox that people who hate us come out with. Don't keep quoting it - it's troll stuff. We're still actually a decent club. We're in the cup semi, we've got to three other semis in the last two years - so if we're a laughing stock, what does that make all the other SL clubs who didn't make it that far? We produce far more young players than most other clubs, and these days we keep the best ones. So what does that make those SL clubs who rarely produce any? We have a good home ground - whatever Latics fans might say - and tip-top training facilities that rival, and in some cases better, many other first-team stadia in SL. So where does that leave most of the others? We've no money problems, we've still got a massive profile in the game, we can still beat anyone on our day - as we've proved even in these dark times - so we're not much more of a joke than anyone else.
There's a much bigger picture here, to be honest. Granted, we're not where we should be yet, but just because Warrington are going through a 'Brown Bounce' type thing with their new coach - something they enjoy every time they have a new coach (they even had one with Lowes, for Heaven's sake), that's no reason to start getting apocalyptic in your language.

I think we’ve got to find a middle ground to where we are. Some fans claim we are crap others claim we are unlucky others still think we are the best in the world. We aren’t any of those but I still do think were a squad that’s got a lot more potential than it’s showing.
We have a side that should be better than its current standing in the league that’s a fact. With a bit more luck, a little bit more creativity or composure at some points in this season and we’d be firmly planted in the top 8 imo.
But on the other hand not every signing can be a world class one.
On the subject of Warrington we can all laugh at them but seeing they were terrible at the start of this season and have made more progress over this season under Smith than we have under 3 years of Noble we shouldn’t be so smug.
It’s one of the things that keeps me going knowing that if Warrington can have instant improvements under a good coach then the players we have like Gleeson, Carmont, Tomkins, Fielden, Lockers, Feka and Roberts can as well.

Tronc, Briscoe. If we just got those two i would be happy.
The more i look at it, the more i actually don't want us to sign a halfback, not because we don't need one, but because there isn't going to be anyone of the right standard available, and i'd rather just have another year with TL and tomkins in the halves than have someone [for example, although he's gone] Long who isn't going to vastly improve us, and isn't going to be around for long.

This was my point, about 2months ago...
I believe we'll go for one of the two
1. One/ Two Props + 2nd Row - One prop if Coley signs a new deal, and 2nd Row the likes of Tickle/Wild/Ellis.
Or 2. One Prop and FB - N. Cayless/C. Webb with S. Briscoe or someone like C. Greenshields.
The only 6/7 I'd have out of all the ones available, would be Darren Lockyer, if he was to could tho, we'd have to sign a new sencond row to help protect him in defence, the likes of Mossop and Farrell, won't be up to that job.

I personally, would see the back of Hansen, adds very little in attack, apart the fact he runs quite good angles, although he does have a very good defence, he wouldn't be missed.
PR - N.Cayless
HK - Riddell
PR - Fielden
SR - Tickle
SR - O'Loughlin
LF - J. Tomkins
