It is just as daft as grown adults wearing replica shirts. You won't find me doing that, either.

Quote:There are always people turn up to the cricket test matches dressed as batman and robin or naughty nurses etc. It adds to the atmosphere and makes people smile. I believe that was the original subject of this thread... putting a smile back on Reds faces.

The same people who turn up to the test matches with no interest in the cricket, just wanting everyone to look at them and get attention? Doesn't put a smile on my face. You can have a laugh, create a good atmosphere and enjoy yourself without dressing up like a tw*t.

Quote:Lighten up man

Believe me, I'm "lightened up", I just think grown adults should act with a bit of dignity, that's all.

I should add, this just all purely my own personal opinion, you understand.

I used to think that when I was a teenager. Now that I am 53 my views are totally the opposite - I am all in favour of adults behaving frivolously (as long as it doesn't adversely affect others). Now where can I find a devil suit with ample room for a beer gut?

When you go to Wigan and see everyone in a top, especially 80 yr old women who should know better then that is sad.
Same applies to Warrington and a host of other clubs.
I am from a time when you were regarded as a kn0b head for wearing replica tops be it football or RL so have never done it.
I am also glad it appears we are not at the Wigan or Warrington stage at Salford even though replica tops are given away for free.
Everyone to their own as they say.

BTW Having some tool dressed as a Banana, or with a huge party hat on, sat in front of you at a test match is not funny in the slightest I can assure you

I've no problem with frivolous behaviour. But why does that have to involve dressing up? I'm not a teenager, either, I'm creeping ever closer to 30, although that probably still seems young to you.

You don't need to dress up to have fun, you don't need to wear replica shirts to support your team. But again, each to their own as Prestwich Red says.

Dave and Iain, thanks for the votes of confidence.

What was this thread about again?

I`ve decided I`m going to be very excited.
A few seasons ago I predicted we would beat Saints 32 - 22 , so I`m going for that again.
:) Also my lad ( Tigerus Red) his making his playing debut at the Willows at half time for Cadishead Rhinos, any encouragment from the terraces etc will be appreciated. Ta very much. :)

No-one said you had to dress up GT but why can't others without people having a go. I take it you would go to a fancy dress party as Clarke kent or one of the Blues brothers so that you could wear a suit.

chrismum just happened to point out that quite a few said let's make the Hudds game devil night and there were 2 of us who made an effort with our kids and the rest bottled it!!!!

You've said each to their own and yet had a pop at chrismum. Live and let live eh? I respect your right to dress in what-ever you like especially at the weekend  Remember it's sometimes good to dress up

Oh and by the way... I thought the idea of the forums was to debate things not arrange fights irlamreddave! I enjoy a good arguement.... always have..... but not into fighting while you hold our coats

   Great post

Where has the shed gone ? was looking around on fri and just seems the atmosphere has dissapeared. No bring on the salford at the start no chanting through the game take me home willow road or I see the salford reds are rising.

Everyone seems to be whinging where is the commitment from half the players. When I think some people need to be looking in the mirror !!!

SALFORD TILL I DIE, I'M SALFORD TILL I DIE, I KNOW I AM I'M SURE I AM, I'M SALFORD TILL I DIE !!!!!!!!
