Ok, I'm gonna start off with a post from another topic.

Ok, the last game I saw us play was in the GF last year. I've since been travelling around Australia and NZ and trust me, it's not easy missing so many games even if I did decide that this year was to be a kind of developmental season in which finishing any higher than bottom place would be an achievement. I'm going to be attending the game on Friday and trust me, I'm thoroughly excited about it. But you know what, I'm really not looking forwards to standing in the shed with a lot of you. I keep hearing all this negative talk which has very little substance beyond rumour mongering.
Salford Rugby League has had such a positive influence on my life as I'm sure it has on many others. I smile at times when I remember the emotions both good and bad that we have all collectively been through.
It always seems to me that supporting this club is unlike supporting any other. You know what though, that's most probably because it is. KOTS comments sum this up perfectly. We do punch above our weight and that's why we love it. That's why we're so passionate about it. Eternally optimistic about the possibility of upsetting the apple carts and achieving more than we're expected to.
Sure, we all thought we'd have the stadium we've been promised and sure, we all thought we'd be a wealthier club marching up the table ending our never ending wait for glory. But, as of yet, we're not. So, why has our psyche changed so much. We used to buzz in the shed every week before the very inception of sparkly new stadium and during the very process itself. It was a pleasure to be there. So, on the basis we haven't got 1 yet we've quickly descended into the psyche of all the other bloody miserable fans in RL who are only happy when they're whinging. Something most of used to abode and use against against other fans when attempting to prove that despite our lack of success and small fan base we are still the most passionate bunch in the game.
I'm not suggesting that you all shouldn't be a little concerned about the way the club can appear to be heading but guys and girls, you can't do anything about the business side of things. It's largely out of your control.
The 1 part of the game that is in your complete control is supporting this team week in and week out like we always used to. A loyal bunch of nut cases who scream and shout their love for this club and it's team every time they run out onto the pitch. Great days. I'd personally love them back and will be ensuring that I go home with a sore throat on Friday and hopefully a lot of you will be doing the same.
So peeps. What d'ya think. Are we gonna carry on with this endless debate that ultimately counts for sod all or are we gonna do what we're good at and ressurect the passion that we all have for this club? For £17 I'm personally gonna select the 2nd and go home with a smile on my
face!
