Our attendances are abysmal and the fact the you have a Super League club and its chairman to whinge about is something of a feat in itself. Unless the fans come in numbers and put some money into the club how do you expect we're going to buy world class players?

I'm not sure if some people on here are purely Salford fans and don't follow rl as a sport but as has been posted earlier look how many clubs of similar stature to ours have either gone bust or are playing lower league. The reason we aren't is JW. Be grateful for what you've got and if the good times come again then great, but what's the sense of jeopardising the long term future of the club on a mad spending spree that we don't have the income to cover?

I fully understand your sentiments and, in many ways, I agree with them. Sadly, the playing side has knocked the stuffing out of it for me - it has often been dire, dull and tedious. What makes it all the worse is that we know they can play when they choose to - IF they were doing that week in and week out, irrespective of the result, I dare say many of us would concentrate more on the Rugby and less on all these things we can't really change or even influence? I have faith in Mr Wilkinson because he is all we have on our side and he has spent many years supporting our Club. It might be easier for the man to turn away and walk? But he hasn't and he is still involved in whatever plans may still be available to us. There is no big backer interested in RL let alone Salford and in the present economic situation there is unlikely to be a queue forming to buy into the club. When people are losing jobs, homes and hopes some of the carping about Mr Wilkinson not having ambition or not doing enough is wrong. We all have our opinions and we all have our valid views and these are just mine. No more important or correct than anyone elses'. I just wish the team would get their act together because things might just be a bit brighter for all of us.

I had to nip of before I finished my post. The peformances on the pitch we can all winge about its not the defeat that is important more so the manner in which we were defeated.
I went to watch a summer conferance game on saturday and it seemed there were less basic errors in that game than there was in the Huddersfield game, really it should be the otherway round
Iin referance to JW and co I have every faith them to continue their efforts to deliver a new staduim . Wether they succeed or not is another matter, nothing is certain in these unpredictable times.
