I have heard the cook erumours for a few weeks now, but got told yesterday that it is pretty much nailed on - with kath and rule saying he would never come back, it makes me wonder whether there is more to this takeover than there seems, and he is wanted by a new man?

The two things that Hull FC NEVER EVER NEED are Walker anywhere near running the joint and Cooke back on the payroll.

I don't believe it for a second.
Even if there was a takeover, which seems unlikely in itself, why would a new owner risk upsetting the fan base by bringing back the most unpopular man in the club's recent history?

I cant see this one happening but who would have believed he was leaving in the first place
Anything is a possibility with our board but Cooke will be sorely mistaken if he thinks he can stroll back in and everything will be like it used to be

It would soon be forgotten if we started winning again... imho
Apart from anything else, he's been total poo since he went to Rovers. It makes no sense. Probably one of those manufactured rumours designed to make our otherwise dull season slightly more interesting.

I don't think the Rovers board or coach appear to be particularly enamoured with Cooke but the move has been perfect for Rovers - it completely unsettled FC, allowing Rovers to become dominant in the city whether we like it or not. We still haven't recovered - it was a shrewd move.

It might have been a shrewd move on their part, but that doesn't mean it would be equally shrewd for us to take him back.
