1 "Old Faithful" contains rather a lot of words which are too much for the modern day FC fan to remember in one go.
2. It is important that these words are sung in a specific order. Once this was no problem, but nowadays *anky *arrington only has two words and, it doesn't matter if they get them the wrong way round .... which they frequently do.
3. Most importantly though, after the first line ..."Old Faithful" opposing fans, and especially Rovers fans, join in with "You'll never win at Wembley". Try it and see next time you play them. his cuts them deep and really gets up their noses so they no longer take the risk.
What has this got to do with the letter
The guy in question was disgusted about the fact the FC fans walked through Tesco singing songs containing swear words when family's are trying to do the shopping.
Old Faithful was mentioned in about two sentences but this wasn't the reason for his letter.
