You are right about that! So why the hell does anybody else bother turning up to watch. Pardon me for pointing out the failings of us and other clubs but as I said in another thread Brian Snape took this club from obscurity to the very top. Why can't that happen again. The fact remains for all his endeavours JW has failed to do so. How many coaches has he sacked for the same failing.
Time for the book to stop!

Fair enough , I'm sure you are willing to sell your house , wife and kids to help him finance a better squad or chip in to help build the stadium

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Every year for the last 25. Almost as boring as last nights match.
Fine, I'll keep repeating the points I've made here:

You seriously think that he hasn't ' spent ' any of his own money keeping your club alive

Yes he has but nowhere near enough to compete? And don't give me that old chestnut about how he’s a nice man and we should be glad that we have a chairman like him, yes he’s a nice man but that’s about as far as it goes.
Since joining Salford he’s never spent any real money 50.000 for Broadbent massive WOW! All he’s done is made sure Salford were kept in the black and yes that’s all well and good, but Rugby league is a sport watched by fans who want to see there team win trophies and since he’s been here he’s never put Salford in that position ever.
I was talking to a female supporter last night who's been watching for 50+ years and she came out with a old saying which got me thinking yes your absolutely right, and that saying was YOU HAVE TO SPECULATE TO ACCUMILATE and she said since John has never done that since he's been here all he’s ever done is balanced the books? What’s that done for us apart from plenty of relegations?.
We need someone who is willing to go all out and stop taking the cheap option all the time because believe me this club wont have a chance in 2011 for the franchise if something isn’t done in the next two years? i personally thinks john will get us this stadium and go and TBH that’s the best thing he can do for the club.

What do you want the man to do, bankrupt himself to help the club compete?
And, as I keep saying, it's all well and good saying we should spend more money, but if players aren't willing to come and play for us then it's not going to do much good, is it, now?

Oh, well, that's okay then. F*ck it, if it's not our problem then you're right, John Wilkinson should sell his other business interests, home, wife, kids, grandchildren and anything else he might get some money for in order to help Salford RLFC compete in SL and stop being so bloody selfish.
