He was our best player in that game, for me anyway. Most people ranked him in their top 3 in the MOM thread. It was his best game of the season, probably.

1. Where did I say he doesn't have potential? I think he has no more than we already have in Briscoe and Hall. If we are to sign a 3/4 it needs to be somebody who will command a first team place, not just provide them with competition. I therefore fail to see what he has to offer us.
2. All this rubbish about he's cheap we might as well. That's exactly why we are where we are. And there's also the argument he'll be cheap for a reason.
3. There's often no harm in rejects, I agree. But that's usually when there is an established player blocking the way into the first team at a club, or salary cap reasons, and it's usually done if it's in a position you are particularly short on similar players. In this case it's someone who has never had a single appearance at his current club IIRC, and almost all the players in front of him are either leaving, close to retirement, or fellow prospects who are all considered better.
4. IMO he looks nothing like Raynor did.
5. He had a good game against Wakefield, yes. Thorman had a good game against Saints, should we keep him? Over the length of his 2 spells here, he's generally looked ok but with weaknesses as well. I would personally hope that we as a club require more than simply playing well in a poor team performance to dish out contracts (although G Horne has been evidence to the contrary).
