Common sense prevails in Widnes like any other major tourist destination it has its share of bad eggs, just make sure you keep your cameras hidden away and try not to look like a tourist. Be wary of teenage girls who appear to be flirtatious, this is a common scam in the area, they want you to get them up the duff so they can get a council flat.

LOL. WOTT told me to avoid areas around the Halton Stadium, not to court trouble, and to take in museums and art galleries instead. So I'm binning the game off and going to the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre on Mersey Road.

Wise words. Preparations for the trip are in full swing. I've got my money ready to change, but I'm struggling to find anywhere that holds pre-decimalisation currency.
