A £300 fine.

Not serious enough to justify even a 1 match ban. :D

Slightly fortunate I feel. Cockayne got a match for pretty much the same thing so I guess Griff's better record has stood him in good stead. Next time though, if there is one, he'll very likely get a ban IMO so he'd better be careful!

If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.

Only in RL can you be punished for the same offence twice. A penalty was given on the field and not put on report - should have never gone to Red Hall.

can not help but agreeing with this a little , when will the match officials be held accountable for inept refereeing? a penalty was awarded so its fair to presume they saw something illegal , but then again swings and roundabouts its a sport where you can get an automatic red but still get no ban .

The punishment should have been done on the field. It was bad - he should have been sinbinned or red carded or put on report. Not penalised and the game continue.

It seems the referees have this safety net to use so they don't have to make big decisions on the field. It was unfair to Cas who should have had an advantage because of it - not the next team we play (if he'd been given a ban of course.)
