I've just heard a massive rumour that Wigan are thinking about going for Stephen Wild. Apparently IL has set him out as our top target to replace Hock.
Obviously there is going to be money involved and Mossop could possibly be going the other way on a permanent deal as well.
Thoughts?
I don’t personally believe it myself but stranger things have happened.

Would be very surpirsed.
As good a player as Wild undoubtedly is, I'm unconvinced we need to replace Hock.

My immediate thoughts are that it would be a waste of time and money.
Even with the Hock situation the priority should still be to find two props of the right quality.
We have the replacements ready and waiting in our academy and in all honesty I don't rate Wild particularly highly anyway.

Wouldn't say no to Wild, but if it involved Mossop going then NO!! Simple
losing hock should in no way influence keeping bailey, for a quota space and the wage he demands, he is no better than hansen. Very good in defence, just doesn't offer anywhere near enough in attack.
If Bailey were to replace Hock [as it were] i would be incredibly disappointed.

On a serious note, he's well settled within the club. Performs alot behind the scenes, great bloke.
Top dollar yes MAYBE!!, but if he is the talks would go has - reduce your wage or leave. What would you do?
Why bring another new player in!
Hansen
Mossop
Bailey
J.Tomkins
With O'Loughlin/Flan for Loose Forward, but next year I can see Lockers in the 2nd Row with Flan and J. Tomkins preforming the LF role.
Noble was asked once that if he could bring any former Wigan player back to the club who would it be?
His reply was Stephen Wild.
I don't think they should even consider letting Mossop go the other way.
The thread above had one answer perhaps and that was bring Ashton back as a replacement for Phelps. That would free up another overseas spot as immediate replacements for either this season or next are not to be found easily in the UK.
The Daily Express is saying today that following Kearney turning us down we'll probably go for Lam with Matty Johns as his asst. Who's going in and out of the Roosters or Melbourne who could help with prop, 2nd row & half back?

I also read that in the Express, where the hell do they get Mathew John's name from, I know the guy might want a fresh start, but does he posses any previous coaching experience.
As for Lammy I would say yes, if the club is stuck in a rut, then in my mind who better to take it back to it's previous state than former players who experienced the club at it's best.
Wigan vs Leeds finals aggregate score.
