Now is the time for Brown to make some changes in the team. I would like to see players playing for the places and accepting that second best is not good enough.
For Salford i would like to see
Hodgson B
Leroy
Fatz
Brown
Bruno
Fulton
Robinson
Jacko
Moore
Mason
Raleigh
Lolesi
Wild
Crabtree
Griffin
Lunt
Finnegan
Fulton to run the plays, Robbo given a free role to cause mayhem, and a bench full of pace attacking plays.
All players told they have to perform or are dropped for the next game. with Hodgson, Moore and Griffin particularly put under the spotlight.

despite him being revered by most giants fans,im getting worried by brett hodgson, a fine player no doubt but his mistakes are costing us games ( well the last 2) would he be brave enough to drop brett in place of leroy who has been fairly solid?
for me he has to find some pace in the backs, last few games have shown we are struggling with pacy backs, i would also get crabtree back on the bench where he can cause destruction, finnegan hasn't done a right lot to impress me either lately.
my team would be
B hodgson
cudjoe
wild
whatuira
D hodgson
brown
robinson
mason
moore
mossop
raleigh
lolesi
fulton
crabtree
sculthorpe
fauimu
lawrence

Agree re Brett Hodgson he has to cut out the stupid mistakes in attack. His defencive position is still world class though.
I also agree the lack of pace in the outside backs is a problem but just as bad is the lack of a steadying influence at half back to calm the team down and generally make the right decisions.
I still think our forwards are as good as any in the competition though. The likes of Mason Crabtree Raleigh Kirmond Wild Finnigan Jackson have hardly put a foot wrong this season. Now we have added mossop who looks quality and Sculthorpe who has his faults but his offloading potential offers so much in attack as he showed in glimpses on friday. We have massive strength in depth in the forwards with another world class second rower wrriving next year.
Recruitment for next season has to be based on improving the backs.

I'd also say we have perhaps some of the best centres in the game too, certainly Fatz shows his class week in and week out, Lawrence at centre is top notch and ever improving, add to that the likes of Wild, Brown and Jammer and we have some real class and depth.
Wingers are a problem, especially with Hodgy and Aspers playing poorly (that said Hodgy was solid as a rock in defence, its attach he is lacking at the moment)
As or Fullback, Cudjoe is superb and getting better each time he plays I think, Bret is excellent in defence positionally, but weak in the tackle.
Bret's main failing is his attempts to join the attack as another halfback, on Friday thats when we got thrown into confusion, and too many times now his passes have been plucked off, but that might be down to the rest of the team being too flat - and lacking dummy runners, something we had in spades early doors.

We need a playmaker with some composure who can take on the line in his own right. Unfortunately they are like goldust.
Brett Hodgson is a class act. He may have made a few mistakes but that won't stop him tryng things 'cos he's still got the confidence in his own ability. If Luke Robinson can show half his composure we'd be rocking. How anybody can break the line with one man to beat and options on both sides and still cock it up is beyond me.
We missed Andy Raleigh from the start and Danny Kirmond - they give 100% 100% of the time.
We've got a great set of forward's but the real calss acts are Fatz and Brett Hodgson with Liam Fulton showing good signs.
Lawrence and Cudjoe are improving and I'd like to bet that's down to Fatz and Brett.
Let's face it, the Aussie's and Kiwi's are still street's ahead as shown in the world cup and that's reflected at the Giants.
I still think we can finish 3rd, but to do that we've got to stop the errors and start putting a bigger percentage of the chances away. It might seem obvious but that's what separates the winners from the also rans.
Let's start at Salford...............
