How dumb is Dave Whelan? Switched on SSN this morning and saw that Whelan was saying he'd do the England job for Capello's wage, and Steve Bruce could do just as good a job, or something like that.

Whelan's salivating whenever he might have anything to do with Man United is embarrassing, whether Wigan are about to play them or he is trying to sell them a player.
Whelan is certainly a contradiction. In interviews he comes across as a clueless prick. But he has achieved extraordinary success in business and as a FC chairman. On top of that he was also a professional footballer. For his achievements he deserves a lot of respect. If he just STFU he'd get it. Because he continues to spout nonsense his achievements are always overshadowed by the nonsense he comes out with.
