Not IMO but other players have been punished for the exact same offence(well Cockayne from our guys in the past few weeks), some consistency would be nice, for a change.

I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell

well after a nights sleep i am a bit more chilled.

That however must be our worst performance of the season.

Salford and Hull were bad but there we were just making mistakes dropping the ball ie things you cannot legislate for.

Yesterday we just seemed clueless. Wrong options or usually a lack of options. When Robbo made his break there were two players outside him but in such a short space he could do nothing and when he did pass the ball it was dropped.

Our poor kicking one from Moore and a couple of high kicks from Robbo stand out. Our last tackle options were poor particularly when we ran it twice when there was no gap at all and we just gifted possession to cas.

There were a lack of dummy runners on a lot of plays. Best seen when Hodgson in the second half ran across the line and just went past our players with no one trying to run an angle or give him an option until Fulton woke up and ran back inside.

There were two many changes i think in the centre which would appear to be partly contributed to by Nathan Browns team selection. I would also suggest the players like Eorl and Kirmond are better of the bench whilst Raleigh is better starting.

Who was calling the plays :?: Brown, Robinson, Hodgson, Moore, faiumu :?: Who was playing at first reciever etc. Players looked out of position and we were having to throw long passes to find the player who was supposed to be running the play.

The other thing is that we need better decision making when we make a break. They need to decide when to take a risk and when to look for the support player. Confidence seems to be shot and we look for the support player when they should go for it and visa versa.

Our passing WTF. A lesson for training today would be Run with ball, look at player you will pass to, OPEN EYES then pass. kevin Brown and Brett Hodgson please take note.

A lot of our passing was too slow ( a problem we have had for a couple of years).

What were the good points. Commitment and work rate was good after the first twenty minutes, Discipline was good, cudjoe did well on the wing. Robbo looked for very lively and we did not drop too much ball. Whatuira knows how to commit a defender and always looks to to be trying something.

The best positive however is that the SKY shot sof Nathan Browns face suggests that the players will work hard this week and you can guarantee that we will be better next week.

Huddersfield Giants 2013 over achievers

I personally thought Salford to be our worst performance (so far- he adds so as not to tempt fate) because in that game we were completely inept. Last night, despite being poor and not deserving the win, we should have won.

Agree with that Danril, Salford was by far the worst for me too.

Seems like we have a slump after being beaten by the Rhino's again!

I thought Ganson was awful, not fit to ref a game of touch and pass in the park, but he isnt why we lost.

Bret Hodgson had a dire game, everything that went through him went wrong.

Robbo ran his legs off and tried everything, perhaps tried a touch too hard.

Fulton looked like he is the man to put in at 6

Nathan Brown got his game plan totally wrong I think, players all over the place, no direction

Worst of all, I think the team thought all they had to do was turn up and win, crappy thing is, they werent far off being wrong.

Forward pass - 50/50, they have been left go a million times in the past, and Ganson let plenty others go that were worse.

Offside, yeah it was.

Foot in touch, didnt look it on the big screen, anyone with it on replay confirm it?

Simple fact was we carved through them enough times to score a hatful of tries and didnt. Not good enough.

Ganson didn't bother policing anything for either side. We can have no complaints overall, although of course he made a couple of mistakes.

Personally, as a spectacle, I think it's a lot better match and the result cannot be 'piggybacked' with constant penalties left, right and centre.

That's not to say Ganson didn't make 'any' decisions, he spotted forward passes, knock ons, the Sculthorpe conning penalty, and even the touchjudge weighed in with some eagle eyed decisions regarding a player being in touch.

All of the above should be expected from a top class referee, but, what with the 'substandard refeering' that's gone on this year, it was nice to see a referee make the correct decisions and let the game flow.
