Quins with a lead at home is very tempting.

I'm sure the spread of decent money will be with only 10 or so players apart from Tiger so they should still be in business still come Monday (and of course only pre tournament bets will be refunded).

True enough, and I suspect Tiger will still manage to be ahead of more guys than behind come Sunday.

I've made a bit this year backing Quins to beat the handicap, probably jinxed it this weekend now

I make you right looking down the leaderboard there are a fair few names ahead of him you suspect will not stay in that position long but in truth a good round today and Weir could put himself out of Tigers reach and an under par score could pull him well clear and then be a case of holding his nerve for the rest of the tournament.

Including some of my wishful thinkers! If Weir holds it together today he could go on and be in the leading group on Sunday PM, and should be beyond Tiger (if not maybe someone on a charge like Mickleson if he gets it together) but I suspect Weir wont hold it together and he'll fall back to the pack, just a hunch.

I make you right but we will know a lot more in a few hours time.

Backed Todd Hamilton when he won the Open (in running not 750/1 pre tournament I'm affraid) so always have had a soft spot for him and would love to see him do something again (but no doubt I will put on a bet on someone between now and Sunday then I will be wishing ill luck on everyone but him!!!).

:D well done on Todd, shame it wasn't the 750...but then where did that come from? so why would anyone be on 750? He's going well today -2 thru 4.... you never know.

Im off for some kip now with all my guys still in contention.... lets see if they make the cut when I leave em to it!

Joe Stevenson to beat Nate Diaz in UFC tomorrow night.

Stevenson is a cut above the unexperienced Diaz IMO.

Take the underdog 11/10.

I had a small punt on KJ Choi e/w for the open at 150/1.

He finished his first round +2 which wasn't terrible considering he was in the worst of the weather, hopefully he can kick on with his round tomorrow and get further up the leaderboard.

Couple of disappointing evenings punting (Thurs and Fri) but hoping for a change in fortunes today.

On the punting horizon ...

Top quality racing from Ascot (3 Class 1's and 3 Class 2's), a couple of decent events at Ayr plus other good races at Redcar, Newmarket and Down Royal (Ulster Derby).

Televised RL Harlequins v Leeds plus two other fixtures this evening.

Probably swerve the Union though!

Not been following the golf properly.

I'm on the following so gonna see how they're doing.

Ogilvy @20/1
Casey@ 22/1
Gay 66/1
Appelby 125/1
McDowell 250/1

Are they still playing the 2nd round? Has everyone started the 2nd round now?
