I too am pretty convinced myler will be here next season, but surely that means we have to keep hold of Briers. I have complete faith in smith, but we can't simply rely on myler without an experienced half back partner. He ain't that good. Oh, unless he plans on playing Sinfield at 6 when we sign him as well!

By media folk he was. By us lot, he was dubbed the new Kevin Penny and he is a bit special, I'll stand by that, I've seen nothing to tell me he isn't and plenty to tell me that he is. He just has things to iron out that, flaws if you like that are easily exposed in the modern day game.
'That' Try on Penny Day at Knowsley Road, that was special. As was his try at the HJ against Wigan, when he made Ashton look daft, and his hat tricks at home to Saints, Salford & Wakefield. Lots of special moments.

A title subsequently passed onto Shaun Ainscough, or is he the new Jason Robinson (I find it so hard to keep up with the hype and rants of Eddie and Stevo)?

He's the new Gareth Raynor. Raynor was supposed to be the new Jason Robinson but clearly wasn't. Ainscough's the new version of that.

Do you risk big money on a young lad with loads of potential and could be the main stay of your side for years, or someone that could give you 2-3 years but is the finished article?
Not an easy question to answer - it depends....
Fat blokes in the mud, flat caps, bogs that drain pi55 directly onto your boots - Now it's all 'Big Ask', 'Arm Wrestle', 'Collision' 'Contact' 'Facials' 'Upper Body Strength' 'Big Units' 'Scooting from Dummy Half' 'Energy Levels' 'Laying the Platform' ‘Middles’ and 'T-R-Y'. Let’s not forget resilience.
