Isn't as much as it looks. Echo says £7m of it will be part of the Crouch deal which they still owe us. As for the wage, well having Hyypia and Pennant off the wage bill kind of helps. But still, we usually have about £20m net to spend, so I'd expect about £40m to be spent this summer if we sell well.
Expect David Villa to Liverpool rumours in the next couple of days.
Apparantly to someone on RAWK (Liverpool website) a poster who is in the 'no' and gets every transfer rumour right. Says that Liverpool have tabled a 52 million pound offer for both Villa and Silva and that Mascherano will go to Barcelona for around 25 Million.

I'm done with all of this 'inside knowledge'.
I don't really give it a second thought unless it's in the Echo. I very much doubt we have enough money to buy Johnson and Silva, let alone David Villa.

I agree. Apart from the money bit. Imo i believe we have alot more money than people think this summer.
Rafa already came out and said our transfer record could be broken this season.
Daily mail have just broke a story saying Barca are willing to pay 45 million euros for Mascherano.

Masch will stay with us. Rafa's spent so long building our side, signing and selling players in positions, always upgrading, now we have Masch we have arguably the best in his position in the world, as tempting as the money being spoken about is, I'm sure Rafa won't sell, and if Masch wants to leave, I'm sure Rafa could turn his head, just like he did when he nearly went Juve.

I think they've done this for a long time though, haven't they? It's just that when it was just the newspapers who were paying these fees no one else knew about it or cared. Now that the internet has expanded so massively they've extended it to that. IMO their main reason for doing it will just be to protect their newspaper income and the major websites. If the FA didn't stop tiny websites from putting the fixtures out then the major websites would expect the fixtures for free as well.
I'd hope that the ridiculous money in football does eventually cause a backlash, but I don't think this issue is it.

I agree with that.
The biggest issue is, should they be charging for fixture lists at all?
Absolutely not. It's like a company charging for access to their advertisments. Pure greed. It makes absolute sense for them to pimp this information everywhere, so fans know exactly whom is playing whom and when so they know in advance whether they can attend.
