All we seem to do is get second rate Ozzies .Then when we have the best crop of youngsters I have seen at the club for years we are about to possibly lose them .
Something does not add up here and I for one would like answers.

BTW I mention the two other clubs as they get similar crowds to ourselves (Harlequins even less)

In Wakefield case, that’s not always the way. With a year left on his contract Gaz Ellis was offered pots of money to stay, he went to Leeds for less money, in order to win stuff, and fair play to the lad. There is constant talk of Atkins & Brough been lured away. In fact this board is similar to Wakeys, what with player retention problems, poor attendances & lack of stadium development.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in. They're eating the cats! They're eating the pets!

I wouldn't know how to run a club, i'm just a supporter who questions our clubs ambition or lack of it. How have other clubs progressed over the years, like wakefield, cas and quins? We've just stayed at the same rubbish level apart from one season.

so do i , i also agree on bunch of tossers on this forum at times , get off JAYMC case at least he goes to home and away games spending his money on our great club so he is intitled to his opinion , which i agree with

salfords support at wigan was the best they had ever seen from away fans , quote from cherry and whites website

Two of the aforementioned have been or (if you believe the rumours) are very close to going bust.
Cas have consistently managed to attract bigger crowds than us (even when they were being beaten regularly and paying a fair ticket price) thus improving revenue.

But in all cases, surely these are examples of clubs that have spent wisely and built solid squads rather than throwing big sums at players (a la Warrington).

You talk about ambition etc but you need to realise we're already punching well above our weight, playing competative rugby in the top tier. Frankly, the 3500 of us are f*cking spoilt!

and who secures those sponsors and on what basis?

its not a coincidence that JW owns a welding importing business and we were sponsored for years by a random italian firm called cebora...

maybe your news agent will oblige?

its our directors who secure (or actually own in some cases) our sponsors!

and they work very hard doing it and deserve our thanks.
