Ian Lenagan needs to do something now!
If he's working towards 2011 then we'll be the new Widnes by 2012.
Decisions have to be taken and announcements made.
If this continues season ticket sales for next year will plummet.
Should we lose the next two, home attendances will go through the floor!
Action needs to be taken with days, not weeks or months!

Wigan must be full of toys and dummies that have been thrown out of prams since the Celtic game.
This getting beaten by sides that we think we should beat go' back to the 80s well before Noble and I.L. took over the club.
And its not just a player thing its the Were the Famous Wigan Rugby and we will win this easy mentality of players and Fans.
Teams in the top half of the league we will turn up with the this is a hard game attitude and the ones in the bottom half we turn up with the we can win this just by being here and i feel it will not matter one bit what players we bring in they will get the same mindset and i do not know what the answer is may be if we do finish in the bottom 2 that might change the thinking of some player who come and think we have the god given right to beat lower placed sides.

Celtic did a job on us slowed the game down and got lucky a few times in the last 20mins with 2 on 1 tackles where the ball was ripped out and not spotted we then got frustrated and gave away field position which lost us the game. We also played Ainscough with a damaged knuckle and Roberts with a Hamstring problem which did not help.

At the end of the day we lost a game lets move on to the next with hopefully a full fit team to pick from and win that one.

Best Wigan No7 ever
Terry Newton Wigan legend RIP

Player wise he should be looking at 2011 as people have stated we will have more on the cap so that is only sensible.

A decision must be made on Brian Noble's future should be made now, if IL still wants him next season let him be brave enough to come and tell us in the press or if he has in his mind that he will not be here next season then we should get rid now. Teams always see an impact when a new guy comes in anyway, just a suggestion though, not saying this is what I want.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

My feeling exactly.

We have about 8 players off contract for next year so surely we'll have more then enough room to move for 2010.

If we don't then we never will as 2010 was always the year Lenagan said would be the time we'd start seeing high profile players coming in again and not cheap 'chance' signings as we've made so far.

Then IL will pull the glesson card out saying hes the big signing

This week was the ideal chance to announce any big signing after the shambles of saturday.

the fans need a lift we cant even sell 5 thousand semi final tickets for godsake. No big names coming this season IMO

You can only announce a signing if the deal's been done. If it hasn't, your hands are tied.

I'm not sure how many more big signings people want for this season. Gleeson WAS a big signing - and he came mid-season. That's quite unusual these days, so it's pretty unfair to just treat it as irrelevant.

I agree you can only annouce when deals are done.

But if you believe IL we were looking at signings for 2010 at the end of 08. He would have known then the players available. IMO deals would have been done and this week was perfect for annoucing them.

We can't worry about signings for new year yet. There is lots of time for development and deals to be made.

Give IL time...
