Interesting rumour today, Villa want Bentley, Spurs are willing to let him go along with Jenas for Ashley Young.
Also Valdano at Madrid has conceded defeat in his attempt to sign David Villa. I can't see Liverpool having the cash for him even though Torres wants him there. Not sure I can see him coming to Utd either but maybe he will go to Barca if they are willing to pay the reported £35m fee.

Just read on the Echo site the Johnson bid was £17m, but if we are to pay them money it will be much less due to money still being owed for the Crouch deal.
Not quite sure how that works out on this summer's budget, but I'm glad we're investing in positions where we require top quality players, instead of signing somebody like Tevez, who would be a waste of money, I feel.

I can't believe that I think £35m is a steal, but after the way this summer's started with Real going a bit loopy, it is.

That was the reported figure the Madrid had offered and Barca were offering £10m less. I said on here yesterday if Fergie really fancies him and Silva then with Valencia having to raise some serious cash why not make a double offer of say £60m and try and get both of em?

Real know Valencia need to sell, so by saying they give up it kind of puts Valencia in a tricky position, they need to sell Villa and with there only being a few parties who can afford him, they need all the interest they can get. I still think Real will get him.

In this morning's paper that Madrid have cooled their interest in Villa leaving two likely clubs interested.... Barça and United. Article says Valencia would prefer to see Villa playing outside La Liga.
