66-12 and some great rugby by England. France were awful in the first half, but at least they showed brief glimpses of what they can do in the second half.
Some bookies were offering England -88 at odds on at half time. Cocky gets.
Frankly I think BG made the right squad selection and when you see that we have 13 international standard players, need to find 17 for the squad and 4 were injured ... you can see why we got beat.
Come the summer, if all fit we would have Raguin, Pelo, Greenshields, Elima, Fakir and Ferriol, which would make for a far more even matchup.

I was disappointed with England. I think we let the French back into the game and took our foot off the pedal.
That is going to get us crucified in the 4 nations.

James Wynne. Dean Bosnich. Dumas. Anyone but a myopic northerner with a questionable record and who spent the entirety of his first statement as French coach talking about himself and his detractors as opposed to the job in hand. The man's a prat who clearly isn't good enough. I refuse to believe he was the best candidate available.

Using northerner as an insult?

To be fair to Robert, he's spent large parts of his interviews defending himself because the attitude of the journalists and a lot of the questions asked have seemed to have been all about ridiculing him.
The start of the interview when he got the job from Jack Dearden on Radio Manchester 'Bobbie, can you believe it? cos we can't!' cue studio full of laughter

Dunno about that, I think we should be looking for a good SL coach with a Cup pedigree. You named some decent LER coaches, but I think they would feel more pressured to play a short-term strategy than a long goal of development. No one expects BG to do well, so if he loses matches developing talent then there's no outrage.
From the SL I would think Kear, Morgan and Potter would be up on my list, but I wouldn't say no to Matterson or Agar and even (I feel unclean) McDermott (boo!) or Noble (gah).

Investing in the development of RL in Paris will be a long process, but international games are one of the best way to showcase RL in Paris. If ever Paris was able to produce a CC team the economic and mediatic impact on RL in France would be massive.
running before walking springs to mind, how many of those supporters would be blamed for never watching a RL "test" again after that?
