the madrid manager is going to be under so much pressure this year with all the players they have signed anything less than the la liga title may not be enough and even that might not be enough considering the money they have spent.

He's got a big job on his hands has Pellegrini.
Despite what some might say after their Champions League exploits Vila-real are a small club and Madrid are at the opposite end of the scale.
No doubting he's done a greatjob at the Madrigal, but I think the jury is still out as to whether he'll bring the title back to the Bernabeu.

Big red X on his back.
Can't see him lasting long. A good coach but he wasn't Real's first choice, also, I think a strict coach like a Capello or a Hiddink would have been better taking over the massive egos. Also, they really do need to sort that defence out, it's not just the players, it's their methods and tactics. Watching them trying to step up to play players offside was embarrassing, they'd just stand there with their hands in the air, clueless.

how dare you call me a racsist. just by talking about players names heritage im a gunna go hunting Harry Kewell rebuilt body and soul . HARRY Kewell was in a hospital bed in 30C heat, the air-conditioning turned off to prevent a risk of infection to his surgically repaired foot.
The Socceroos superstar had just finished the 2006 World Cup as a spectator on crutches, but there in hospital he began plotting his journey to South Africa 2010.
Kewell now declares he is bigger, stronger and faster than at any point in his career. And the man who helped rebuild him says the job's not finished.

I disagree Rob, Real were at their most successful when Del Bosque was in charge, who isn'r really a household name.

Australia launches its bid to host football's world cup AUSTRALIA has launched its bid to host the 2018 or 2022 soccer World Cup, with the event promising to bring a $3.9 billion bonanza to the nation.
Football Federation Australia chairman Frank Lowy declared today at Parliament House that the bid was "realistic" and "achievable".
"Hosting the World Cup would provide Australia with an unparalleled opportunity and give Australia a lasting and living legacy for generations to come," Lowy said.
People from all over the world want to visit our country," he said.
"Thanks to the performance of the Socceroos at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, as well as the many thousands of Australian fans who followed them, the rest of the world has a very positive view of us." http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/stor ... 89,00.html

Kewell = one of the biggest wastes of talent i have ever seen.
Talent to burn, but appears to have the heart of a pea.
