Well yes. But I gather they will be getting Alonso from Liverpool plus a new centre half to replace Cannarvero.

From what I've heard they want Villa and will try and get Alonso.
They are thinking of bringing Garay back fromRacing and using him to cover the absence of Cannavaro.

No. Not in the slightest. This is Real Madrid we're talking about!
They've got Garay to come back, unless he's given another season at Racing which rather defeats the point of signing him for £9m 12 months ago.
Florentino Perez, as his first tenure shows, just doesn't 'do' defenders.

I agree, although I read today a interview with Cannavaro and he was saying that they need about 5 signings most of them attacking players.

Cannavaro giving advice about signings
I expect Garay to come back and replace him. Metzhelder, if fully fit will be like a new signing and Pepe showed moments of just why they signed him.
How many games of the new season will he miss?
Who was it on here that thought he didn't mean to kick the bloke, neither the first nor second time?

Pepe got 15 mataches didn't he? So about 8 games or something won't it (That's a guess)?
In the same interview it also mentioned about Clichy a potentional signing for Madrid. One I would be pleased about.

Villa to be officially announced on Monday. Madrid supposedly interested in Maicon. Inter want €20 million and Sneijder.
Believe it.
Villa? for how much unless there offering Negredo aswell I would imagine it will be a huge offer.
as for Maicon I'd take that offer also but I'd rather give them VDV. What will happen with Ramos? Could he possibly go back to centre half alongside Pepe?

Could be wrong, but I'd guess Pepe and Garay in centres, Ramos to continue at right back and Marcelinho at left back.
