When thinking about it more clearly, I imagine we'll sign Benzema and Valencia. I hope Fergie has learnt his lesson since the departure of Schmeichel, and hopefully he will splash the cash on a decent well known decent aged 'keeper to replace VDS, because this is probably his last season and IMO Tommy K and Foster aren't ready to step up and replace him yet.

I'd like to see Rooney given the Famous 7 shirt, and give him the freedom the roam like Ronaldo had. With Benzema/Berba up top and Rooney just behind roaming everywhere, with a middle three of Anderson/Carrick/Hargreaves.

When tactics need to be changed (depending on opposition/way the games going), we can switch to 4-4-2, with Tosic and Nani (and probably Valencia), or Giggs/Hargreaves going to the wings.

Agree with everything you've said mate. Other than the 7....I think it should be given to Fletch. A Robbo type number 7. It would never happen, but I would love it! Plus Wazza & the club played alot on the history of the number 10 shirt when he changed from 8.
