Crouch got into the England side because he played for Liverpool.
He was wa*k tonight. For a tall man he has virtually no heading ability and his close control beggars belief. I think most of us on here could have scored his goal and apart from that he managed to look clumsy and inept - even more than usual.
He got nutmegged by a cross from a team mate FFS.
Get rid now before he embarasses us in SA.

Can't see them winning the WC. They have an abundance of attacking talent, but lack balance and a decent defence and 'keeper. The side they had in 06 should have walked the world cup then, but now most of their defenders have aged and past their best, Riquelme isn't playing and they just look clueless. Seems their side is forever changing.

Andorra or Argentina...hmmm not sure which to choose. I think Andorra just edges it for the lifestyle.

It would seem that another thing that Fredie doesn't have a clue about is that names themselves do not indicate ethnic roots. This can be the case with people of mixed race, and it's also the case where people have ancestors who were slaves and were, therefore, given the family names of their owners – which in many cases would be northern European names.
And England is not "in the middle of Europe", as even some basic knowledge of geography would show him.
Given the ethnic diversity of the current England squad, Fredie's claim that four players (with names that he recognises as non-traditional English ones) are picked as a "token" merely illustrates, yet again, that he can manage to make pig shît look intelligent.

Extremely difficult to judge anything against such opposition (not least because they're niggly and with no tactical ambition beyond getting every man behind the ball), but I'd agree with that.
