"He has a long contract and any club can forget about bidding for him. They can offer £40m or even £50m, we don’t want to sell."

That was just SKY's twist on it, there's the quote, don't let that get in the way of you laughing, though.

He was probably England's best player. He or Johnson anyway, nobody else played that well TBH.

There was only Rooney's second goal that didn't come from an Andorran mistake.

Does Benitez have the strength / power to overrule the owners'/Chief Exec's decision? A bit like Fergie could tell Gill that Ronaldo wasn't for sale and therefore, he wasn't leaving.

Yeah, must've been, I thought it was strange at the time.

Had the volume on low as couldn't be frigged listening to that sheite commentary but briefly turned it up and heard it.

I think there all getting carried away again, you'd think they'd learn wouldn't ya when referring to England's WC chances...

I mean they've only played one great team and that was Spain and look what happened there...

To be fair, if they'd have pushed up like any half decent (even a Sunday league team) would have done, they'd have trapped him offside.

Jimmy Greaves was right in what he said though, legend.
