Except for This Sporting Life and Up 'n' Under, there have been precious few films that have featured the sport of Rugby League. But is there now the chance of another?
Some time ago I was asked to send a copy of my first novel 'One Winter' to the Pinewood Studios. It is set in the sixties and based on the old saying about work "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".
It is now on sale in the club shop on Holderness Road along with a few more books on Rugby League published by London League Publications.
It is also available in Waterstones and next Saturday (June 13th) I will be in there signing copies of both 'One Winter' and my latest novel 'One Autumn' which is set during the 1992/93 season against a background of Work, Family Life and Rugby League.

It would be a best seller."[/b]

There's two Aussie RL films, one a comedy that's a bit average (Footy Legends) and one a very good social snapshot of the period RL became professional (The Final Winter)
WEST COAST PIRATES NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......

Just a reminder for anyone aiming to call in Waterstones this Saturday, I will be there from 11 'o' clock onwards. I am hoping that some of my former workmates from the drawing offices at Myson Radiators and Reckitts might turn up too, but as it was back in the 70s when I worked at both places, apologies in advance if I don't recognise you.
