Gutted, i'd have really liked him to join us (Liverpool)
I see Mascherano's agent has today said he would welcome a move to Barca?
Also Liverpool linked with Goran Pandev at Lazio but not Lavezzi.

SOS mean well and have done some excellent work for the fans over the past year or so. I just think allowing things like this damages their reputation, and the club's image. I heard it was a brilliant night, seems a shame that all of the good work could be ruined by a few idiots.

Pandev would be better than Lavezzi and he is only a year older.
Lavezzi has 15 goals in 57 games for Napoli and i dont think that is really good enough.
Pandev has 51 in 134 for Lazio.
Pandev would be the better signing IMO.
I can't see Mascherano fitting in too well at Barca, he very often goes off like a lunatic chasing players and i dont think Barca play that way, they are a skillful team who will sit and wait then go at the right time rather than rush like a headless chicken at the opposition.
I know. The problem we have is one faced by many clubs - we need a centre-forward who can can play upfont on his own, good in the air, effective at holding-up the ball and bringing others into play and someone with pace. There are only three forwards who can do that in the Prem - Torres, Drogba and, when he can be bothered, Adebayor.

Benzema has the potential, that's what makes him so sought after.
There are a few other players who fit the bill, but just don't seem good enough for the top, like Mario Gomez & Amauri.

We are apparently also going to be signing Santa Cruz from Blackburn.
I would guess that our front three next year will be: Tevez RSC Robihno
Intelligent and skillful trio. However, that frontline lacks genuine pace. All our pace will probably be on the bench - SWP and Bellamy. We need a centre-foward with a tad more pace.
I don't think the £25m price tag was the big stumbling block, the £160k a week in wages for a bench player however

He's neck scars proves he's lost his head Tevez, Tevez
He'll never have a sexy bird Tevez, Tevez
The argy lover, the ugly ****, they sewn his head on back to front

The 1st thing you should do is introduce him to your treatment room(he'll be spending a lot of his time there). When fit he's a great player but we were lucky to get a full season out of him last year and this season he's been back to his usual self spending most of it off the pitch.
