The long-term view of things would say develop pitches that will help you win more matches and develop your most promising youngsters at the same time...but on the other hand you need some older, more experienced players to help them develop as well...I'd like to see youth given it's chance as I think it is at more and more counties now, which has to be a good thing for the depth of the CC and for the future England team.
