Was a terrible journey over and home for us lastnight, heavy rain and spray on the motorway not much fun, yet when we got home there'd been no rain at all in Hull.

Though you deserved your win tonight, we seemed void of all ideas at times and you made us work very hard defensively.

You have also got to remember in the "winter era" there wasnt the coverage on Sky Sports there is now and people are all for the easier life...stay home, warm, dry with a beer and your feet up with close ups on the TV or go out and get cold and wet...some people just opt for the easy option. Thats the way it is these days. I dare say had it been sunny and Sunday afternoon then more fans from KR would have come across but Friday nights on TV are a killer on crowd numbers for everyone.

I agree 3 or 4 years ago we would have been well happy with that crowd for a Friday evening game in the wet. I suppose it just shows the progress the club has made though, that we expect so much more.

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war"

Live in West London so can't do Fridays, would have made Sunday. There will be more like me who struggle with Friday. Great win. Thought it would be tougher!

It isn't.
You will never get all ST's attending at the same game for lots of reasons - about 10 of which have already been mentioned on this thread.
Good following from HKR considering on Sky, Friday night and weather.
Well done to all who attended - we were treated to a good game of TGG.

Fair play, so what's the problem with a bit of rain then?

Bore off, will you. You're preaching to the converted.

Nothing to him cos he was there. But i can imagine some people not wanting to venture out on a wet night.

I know a few people who couldn't go due to working evenings, but would have gone on Sunday or Saturday.

Thought it was a decent turnout, last weekend in the sun, BBC camera's, Sunday afternoon and 2300 Cas fans and we had less in the home end than last night.

Thought it was a decent turnout.

The usual Huddersfield post match courtesy  I'm not preaching to anyone, I thought I was just discussing the attendance, I know people who couldn't be there lastnight due to work. I don't think the weather would have affected the number of Rovers fans who travelled over. It just seems a shame that you've got such a nice stadium yet it is only a fraction full. There's no doubt your board are doing their best to get bums on seats by doing cut price deals, but at the end of the day maybe that has an adverse affect with people thinking ah well it's raining, if I don't go I've not lost much.

Unfortunately Friday nights are not good for fans who want to travel from Hull. Have you tried driving from Hull to West Yorkshire along the M62 at 6pm? It's a nightmare! It took me 50 mins from Leeds.

Last season Hudd played Hull Fc on a Sunday and the crowd was just over 8000 and there were about 2800 from Hull. This season Friday night live on sky. It was the University freebie game so the crowd was up but there were less than 1500 from Hull.

Last season Hudd played Hull KR on a Sunday and the crowd was 7200 with about 2200 from Hull KR. This season, Friday live on sky and the number from Hull was halved.

Moral of the story, if you play a Hull team on a friday night expect the normal travelling support to be halved.

THE INDEPENDANT: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous.
